Asuhan Keperawatan Pasien Diabetes Mellitus Dengan Abses Buccal dan Post-Rosc Di ICU: Case Report

Abstrak

Diabetes mellitus (DM) dapat meningkatkan risiko masalah gigi dan mulut dengan komplikasi sistemik. Rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat berdampak pada tertundanya penanganan dan dampak fatal seperti gagal nafas tipe 1 dan henti jantung sehingga perlu perawatan intensif. Perawat berperan dalam pemberian intervensi dan asuhan keperawatan untuk perbaikan kondisi pasien serta meminimalisasi tingkat morbiditas dan mortalitas pasien DM. Observasi selama 6 hari di ruang ICU terkait penanganan medis, pemberian asuhan keperawatan dan kolaborasi, pemantauan kondisi hemodinamik pasien, serta pemeriksaan penunjang. Permasalahan keperawatan pasien DM dengan abses buccal disertai berbagai komplikasi antara lain gangguan ventilasi spontan, penurunan curah jantung, kelebihan volume cairan, kerusakan integritas jaringan, risiko ketidakstabilan kadar glukosa darah, dan deficit perawatan diri. Penanganan tepat dan perawatan intensif meliputi meliputi ABC, TTM post-ROSC, pemeriksaan kultur darah, dan oral hygiene bertujuan untuk meminimalisasi morbiditas dan mortalitas pasien. Kontribusi laporan ini adalah menegaskan oral hygiene sebagai intervensi keperawatan yang krusial dalam rantai penanganan untuk menurunkan morbiditas dan mortalitas pasien.
