Policy distinction: This section explains how readers can access articles. The following section describes the journal’s open access principles and the terms governing reuse, copyright, and article deposit in repositories.

Open Access Policy

JUKEJ: Jurnal Kesehatan Jompa is a fully open access journal. Its open access model combines the reader access conditions described above with clearly stated reuse permissions under an open licence.

Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, and use published articles in accordance with the licence applicable to each article and any separately stated third-party rights.

The journal supports access to scholarly knowledge for research, education, professional practice, policymaking, and other legitimate purposes.

Principles of Open Access

The journal’s open access approach aims to promote the dissemination, discoverability, accessibility, and responsible reuse of scholarly research.

Open access does not eliminate the obligation to acknowledge authors and original sources. Users must comply with the applicable licence, indicate changes where required, and respect rights that are not covered by the licence.

Free reader access, reuse permissions, and long-term digital preservation are distinct aspects of scholarly communication. Electronic archiving and long-term preservation arrangements are described separately in the relevant journal policy.

Budapest Open Access Initiative

The journal supports the broad dissemination of scholarly literature through the public internet, in line with the open access objectives expressed in the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).

Readers may consult the official BOAI declaration and subsequent recommendations for further information. The reuse conditions applicable to articles published in JUKEJ are governed by the licence stated for each article, as described below.

Licensing and Reuse

Articles published under the journal’s current licensing policy are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), unless otherwise stated. For previously published articles, users should check the licence specified on each article.

This licence permits the sharing and adaptation of works, including for commercial purposes, subject to the following conditions:

  • Attribution: Appropriate credit must be given to the creator, a link to the licence must be provided, and any changes made must be indicated.

  • ShareAlike: Adapted material must be distributed under the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence or another licence permitted under its compatibility provisions.

  • No Additional Restrictions: Users must not apply legal terms or technological measures that restrict the rights granted by the licence.

Attribution must not imply endorsement or approval by the authors or publisher. Third-party materials identified separately may be subject to different permission requirements. Other applicable rights, including privacy and publicity rights, must also be considered.

Copyright

Authors retain copyright in their published works. Authors grant the journal the right of first publication and the publication rights specified in the journal’s copyright policy.

The open licence permits reuse without transferring copyright ownership to either readers or the journal.

For the complete terms governing copyright ownership, authors’ publication rights, and third-party materials, please refer to the journal’s copyright policy.

Self-Archiving

Authors are permitted to deposit and upload their submitted manuscripts, accepted manuscripts, and final published articles (Version of Record) to institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal academic websites, and other appropriate open access repositories, without a journal-imposed embargo period.

Archived copies must identify the version of the manuscript. After publication, authors are encouraged to include the full citation, DOI, and a link to the official version published by the journal (Version of Record), where available.

Self-archiving must continue to respect any separately identified third-party rights.

Permission for author self-archiving does not, by itself, indicate that the journal’s content is preserved by an independent long-term digital preservation service.

Commitment to Access and Open Access

JUKEJ: Jurnal Kesehatan Jompa provides readers with immediate, free access to published scholarly content and supports the responsible reuse of works through clearly stated licensing terms.
