PUBLICATION FREQUENCY

JUKEJ: Jurnal Kesehatan Jompa is an open-access journal focusing on health sciences, including preventive, promotive, curative, and rehabilitative healthcare. The journal publishes original research articles and literature reviews covering medical and clinical research; public health research, including health management and policy, health promotion, reproductive health, epidemiology, environmental health, and occupational health; midwifery management research and studies related to midwifery policies, preventive interventions, and health promotion; and nursing management research and studies related to environmental nursing and health promotion.

The journal is published four times a year, with regular issues released in March, June, September, and December.

Each issue contains a minimum of five articles, subject to editorial quality requirements and the availability of manuscripts that have successfully completed the peer-review and editing processes.

MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION SCHEDULE

Manuscripts may be submitted throughout the year. The journal operates a continuous submission system, so authors do not need to wait for a specific submission period.

Accepted manuscripts are scheduled for publication in an upcoming issue according to the journal's publication calendar, editorial workflow, completion of revisions, manuscript editing, production readiness, and available issue capacity.

EDITORIAL AND PEER-REVIEW TIMELINE

The journal strives to complete initial editorial assessments and the peer-review process efficiently while maintaining appropriate academic standards.

Editorial decisions are generally targeted within approximately 2–3 months from the date of manuscript submission. However, actual processing times may vary depending on:

  • The scope and complexity of the manuscript;

  • Reviewer availability;

  • The number and extent of revisions required;

  • The responsiveness of the authors;

  • Additional ethical or methodological assessments, where necessary; and

  • The overall editorial workload.

This timeframe represents an estimated editorial processing period and does not guarantee manuscript acceptance or publication in a particular issue.

PUBLICATION SCHEDULING

Once a manuscript has been accepted, it proceeds through the journal's production stages, which may include language editing, final proofreading, typesetting, metadata verification, and final approval for publication.

The placement of accepted articles in a particular issue is determined by the editorial board based on publication readiness, thematic suitability where relevant, and the available capacity of the scheduled issue.
