JOURNAL OWNERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT INFORMATION

This section describes the ownership, publishing organization, and management responsibilities of Jompa Abdi: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat. Journal ownership is distinct from copyright ownership of individual published articles.

Journal Ownership

Official journal owner: Yayasan Jompa Research and Development

The journal owner is responsible for the overall organizational governance of the journal and for ensuring that appropriate publishing and management arrangements are maintained. Journal ownership does not confer authority to override scholarly editorial decisions for commercial or personal reasons.

Publisher

Publishing organization: Yayasan Jompa Research and Development

Publisher website: jomparnd.com

The publisher provides organizational, administrative, technical, and production support for the journal. Its responsibilities include supporting the publishing platform, publication workflows, policy implementation, and the handling of publication integrity concerns.

The publisher supports electronic archiving and preservation planning, as described in the Electronic Archiving and Preservation section below. This management responsibility does not, by itself, confirm participation in an external preservation service.

Editorial Management

  • Editor-in-Chief: Provides scholarly leadership and oversees editorial standards, peer-review quality, and publication decisions.

  • Managing Editor: Coordinates editorial administration, manuscript tracking, communication, and production arrangements in accordance with the journal's policies.

  • Editorial Board and Handling Editors: Contribute subject expertise and undertake assigned editorial duties, including reviewer selection and manuscript assessment.

  • Reviewers: Provide independent scholarly assessments to inform editorial decisions. Reviewers do not determine final publication outcomes on behalf of the journal.

The names, affiliations, and positions of the current editorial team are listed on the journal's Editorial Team page. This page should be consulted for the current composition of the editorial board.

Editorial Independence

Publication decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief or an appropriately authorized handling editor based on scholarly merit, originality, methodological quality, relevance, research integrity, and the journal's editorial policies.

The interests of the owner, payments from authors, advertising, sponsorship, and personal or institutional relationships must not improperly influence peer review or manuscript acceptance decisions. Payment of any applicable publication charge does not guarantee acceptance.

Editors who have a conflict of interest must not handle the affected manuscript or related integrity concerns. Such matters must be assigned for independent assessment in accordance with the journal's policies.

Journal Ownership and Article Copyright

Journal ownership does not transfer copyright in published articles to the journal owner or publisher. Article copyright, publishing authorization, and reuse rights are governed by the Copyright and License sections below.

ELECTRONIC ARCHIVING AND PRESERVATION

Electronic Archiving

Electronic archiving refers to the storage and protection of published articles and their associated records. Its purpose is to support the integrity, recovery, and continued availability of the scholarly record.

The journal distinguishes the following arrangements:

  • Online Issue Archives: Access to previously published issues and articles through the journal website.

  • Electronic Backup: Copies of publication files and system records intended to support recovery following data loss or system disruption.

  • Long-Term Digital Preservation: Arrangements intended to maintain access to published content even if the journal website or publisher ceases to operate.

  • Author Self-Archiving: Permission for authors to deposit manuscript versions in repositories, as described separately below.

Preservation status: This policy does not identify any specific external preservation service or verified preservation coverage. The availability of articles on the journal website, permission to deposit manuscripts in repositories, and the assignment of DOIs should not be interpreted as evidence that independent long-term digital preservation has been implemented.

Preservation planning: The journal aims to establish and document arrangements covering published article files, bibliographic metadata, associated supplementary materials, and correction or retraction notices where applicable. Implementation details should identify the storage or preservation provider, content coverage, deposit or backup frequency, recovery procedures, and arrangements for continued access if the journal or publisher ceases to operate.

Any statement that content is preserved through a named service will be published only after participation and actual deposit status have been verified. Planned arrangements will be clearly distinguished from operational services.

COPYRIGHT AND LICENSE POLICY

Jompa Abdi: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat applies an author-retained copyright model. Authors retain copyright in their published work, while articles are made available under an open Creative Commons license that defines how published material may be reused.

The following sections explain article copyright, publishing authorization, public reuse permissions, and author self-archiving. Journal ownership and organizational management are addressed separately above.

Copyright

Authors retain copyright in articles published by Jompa Abdi: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat. Copyright transfer to the journal, its owner, or its publisher is not required as a condition of publication.

Permission to publish: By agreeing to the publication of an accepted manuscript, the author(s) grant the journal the right of first publication and a non-exclusive authorization to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, preserve, and make the article publicly available as part of the scholarly record.

Author ownership: This authorization does not transfer copyright ownership. Authors retain the right to reuse their work, subject to applicable third-party rights.

Public reuse: Articles published under the journal's current licensing policy are licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0, unless otherwise indicated. Reuse conditions are explained in the License section. For previously published articles, the license displayed on the individual article applies.

Author responsibilities: Authors must hold the rights necessary to authorize publication, obtain agreement from all co-authors, and secure any required permissions for third-party material. Separate rights or licensing conditions must be clearly identified.

Copyright notice: Published articles should identify the author(s) as copyright holder and state the publication year. This notice does not replace the Creative Commons license statement.

Example: Copyright © 2026 [Author Name(s)].

Preservation authorization: Permission to archive or preserve an article does not, by itself, confirm external deposit in a preservation service. The Electronic Archiving and Preservation section describes the journal's preservation status.

Author Publishing Rights

Authors retain the right to use, share, distribute, reproduce, and archive their work in accordance with applicable rights and license terms.

Authors may incorporate their published work into a thesis, dissertation, book, teaching material, repository, or other scholarly work, provided that the original publication in Jompa Abdi: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat is appropriately acknowledged and third-party rights are respected.

Where available, authors are encouraged to provide the DOI, full citation, and a link to the journal's Version of Record when reusing or redistributing the article.

These author rights do not revoke permissions already granted to other users under the article's Creative Commons license.

License

Articles published under this policy are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), unless otherwise indicated. For previously published material, consult the license displayed on the individual article.

Under this license, users may:

  • Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

  • Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial purposes.

These permissions are subject to the following conditions:

  • Attribution: Appropriate credit must be given, a link to the license must be provided, and any changes must be indicated. Attribution must not imply endorsement by the author or publisher.

  • ShareAlike: Adaptations must be distributed under CC BY-SA 4.0 or a license permitted by its compatibility provisions.

  • No Additional Restrictions: Users must not impose legal terms or technological measures that restrict the rights granted by the license.

Other applicable rights, including privacy, publicity, and moral rights, may also need to be respected. The full terms are available in the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.

Unless otherwise indicated, articles published under this policy are licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.

Third-Party Material

The article's CC BY-SA 4.0 license applies to original content unless otherwise indicated.

Reproduced figures, photographs, tables, datasets, and other third-party content may be subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions. Exclusions from the article's license must be clearly identified in a credit line or accompanying notice.

Authors must obtain the required permissions and appropriately acknowledge the original sources.

Users wishing to reuse excluded material must comply with its separate licensing conditions or obtain permission from the relevant rights holder, unless the use is otherwise permitted by law.

Self-Archiving and Repository Policy

Jompa Abdi: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat permits authors to deposit manuscripts in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal academic websites, and other appropriate open-access repositories.

Authors may archive:

  • Submitted Manuscript: The version submitted before peer review.

  • Accepted Manuscript: The version accepted after peer review, before final journal formatting and typesetting.

  • Version of Record: The final published article.

No embargo period is imposed by the journal on author self-archiving.

Deposits should identify the manuscript version. After publication, authors should include the full citation, DOI, and a link to the journal's Version of Record where available.

The final published version may be redistributed under the license displayed on the article. Authors must respect separately identified third-party rights in all deposited versions.

Repository copies should identify subsequent corrections or retractions where relevant and link to the corresponding journal notice.

Important distinction: Permission for author self-archiving does not establish that the journal has independently deposited its complete content in a long-term preservation service.

Relationship to Open Access

These copyright and licensing arrangements support immediate open access while allowing authors to retain copyright in their scholarly work.

Reader access and reuse rights are distinct from long-term preservation and organizational ownership. Each is addressed in its respective policy section.

Further details about reader access are provided in the journal's Access and Open Access Policy.
